Place: London

Lord Windermere’s home( the place where the
birthday party hold).

Lord Darlington’s home ( the place where the fan of Lady Windermere leave behind ).
Time: beginning on a Tuesday afternoon at five o’clock, and ending the
next day at 1.30 p.m.
Situation:

Jealousy:
Began with jealousy of Lady
Windermere toward Mrs. Erlynne that has affair with her husband ( page 14-15),
then jealousy of Lord Windermere toward Lord Darlington, because he loves his
wife ( page 48).
•
Misunderstanding:
Misunderstanding about relationship between Lord Windermere and Mrs.
Erlynne.

Major Character
a. Lady Windermere
- Innocent and jealousy women: she easy to believe with the scandal
gossip of her husband without she listen the explanation from her husband (
page 15).
b. Lord Windermere
Kind: he help his mother in law needed.
Care with his wife: he gave a fan that his wife likes on her birthday
party.
c.Lord Darlington
Unfaithful: he tell his feeling to Lady Windermere although he has
married
d. Mrs. Erlynne
Unfaithful:
She left her husband and her daughter for another man, but in the end
she regret her decission and she saves her daughter’s marriage

Conficts
a.
Lady Windermere found check of Lord
Windermere to Mrs. Erlynne, then she ask the explanation of it to her husband (
page 14-15).
b.
Lord Windermere asked his wife to invite Mrs. Erlynne in Lady
Windermere’s birthday party ( 16-17).
c.
Lord Darlington revealing his love to Lady Windermere but she refuse it
( page 28-29).
d.
Lady Windermere leaving her home to Lord Darlington’s home after she
knows that Mrs. Erlynne come in her birthday party ( page 33).

Significant meaning of the “FAN”
a.
A birthday present from Lord Windermere to Lady Windermere and a symbol
of affection to Lady Windermere ( page 5).

A symbol of jealousy ( when Lord Windermere find his wife fan in Lord
Darlington’s home, he feel jealous (page 48).

The thing
that very important for Lady Windermere because she always bring it in everywhere.
